SWORD IN THE STONE

Once upon a time there was a young man called Arthur who lived in a little village in the North of Wales, which is a small country on the west side of England which is just of the coast of Europe.

He’d lived all his life with his foster mom the Widow Jones and his foster brother and sister Dai Jones and Rhea Jones and he had a pet dragon called Idris and now that he was a young man he decided he wanted to marry his childhood sweetheart Guinevere and settle down.

But one day a mysterious magician called Merlin came to the village with his two G’nomes - G’nigel and G’norman. Merlin told Arthur that he was born a prince and that now it was time for him to become King of all the Britons. But to do that he had to travel with Merlin to Camelot – the king’s castle – and prove he really was the true king.

So Arthur said a sad goodbye to all his friends and he, Merlin and the G’nomes set off for Camelot. But unknown to them, the evil Morgana la Fey – Arthur’s half-sister – was on her way to stop Arthur from reaching Camelot. She wanted the throne for herself. And she wasn’t alone – her equally evil brother was with her.

Together they set a trap for Arthur and his companions deep in a dark wood, by an enchanted lake. But Merlin managed to save them all just in time and they continued their journey.

Meanwhile back at the village Guinevere was very sad and missing Arthur very much. Suddenly a good fairy appeared and warned her that Arthur was in danger and that she had to gather all his friends to help protect him on his journey. Guinevere hurried to the village to tell everyone and they all left to follow Arthur.

But Morgana used magic to trap everyone in an old tin mine in Cornwall and then used more magic to whisk them all to Camelot where she imprisoned them and laid in wait for Arthur.

After a mighty battle in which little Idris saved the day, Morgana was finally defeated and Arthur and all his friends and family were reunited. But just before Arthur and Guinevere got married Idris was honoured forever by being featured in the centre of the new flag of the Britons.

And everyone lived happily ever after : )
